We are looking for Senior Analytics Engineer, based in Vietnam to join our growing team

Responsibilities

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to deliver on complex projects, including both hands-on delivery excellence to produce valuable outputs and flexing your consulting skills to provide advice and oversight to both the team & client.

 

  • Deliver the company's core analytics offerings and provide technical guidance on client projects

  • Create and maintain scalable data pipelines, models, dashboards and reports to make data accessible to clients in a useful, timely, robust and intuitive way

  • Work across a range of modern data tools following best DataOps practices on different cloud or hybrid data stacks

  • Provide clients with guidance and recommendations on the right data tools depending on the challenges and opportunities they face

  • Be a technical expert in at least one data engineering area, while adopting new technologies along the way

  • At times, successfully lead small teams, operate as the most senior technical person on a project and/or work collaboratively in larger teams of people with varying levels of experience.

  • Work with project leadership to define scope, align on expectations, manage dependencies, escalate and mitigate risks, and seek timely support

  • Help identify potential opportunities within projects and client relationships

  • Participate in events to raise awareness of Mantel’s Data capability and build relationships in the community

  • Help to train, coach and mentor others within the team through on-the-job teaching, tutorials, hands-on training, presentations and other similar activities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hands-on data analytics role, BI or related role in a consulting organisation

  • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global software development environment
  • Demonstrated hands-on data experience across BI, data warehousing, data modelling and modern cloud platforms

  • Experience in creating efficient, scalable & quality data models, with an appreciation of different data modelling approaches such as Kimball's dimensional modelling, Data Vault etc

  • Programming and data manipulation skills using SQL, Python and experience with modern data tech stack such as dbt, Snowflake/Databricks, Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Qlik, Looker

  • Previous application of DataOps tools and best practices in your data workflows

  • Ability to guide projects forward independently and also provide support to more junior team members

  • Previously worked on medium to large-scale data engineering projects in enterprise environments

  • Experience delivering engagements for clients and the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders

  • Take ownership, always stepping up to help and prioritising your teammates. You're also a clear, kind communicator who makes sound decisions based on good judgement
