Overall Purpose

A FinTech Report Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining reporting solutions for financial systems and applications. The role focuses on transforming business and financial data into meaningful reports and insights using enterprise reporting tools such as Actuate, Crystal Reports, JasperReports, or similar technologies.

The developer works closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements, develop scalable report solutions, and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with banking standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain financial and operational reports using reporting tools (e.g., Actuate eReport Designer, Crystal Reports, JasperReports).
• Build and enhance report templates, dashboards, and data visualizations based on business requirements.
• Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather and clarify reporting requirements.
• Develop SQL queries and data extraction logic to support reporting needs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing reports and reporting systems.
• Perform testing, validation, and performance tuning of reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with banking and financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with local and offshore teams across different project phases.
• Document report specifications, logic, and development processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in report development or similar role.
• Strong experience with reporting tools such as Actuate (preferred), Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports, or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of SQL (mandatory).
• Experience in financial services, banking systems, or FinTech is a strong advantage.
• Basic programming knowledge (Java or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
