Overview

IT Support Officers are responsible for providing hands-on technical support and maintaining IT systems, equipment, and infrastructure across all offices. They also manage applications and tools, handle IT helpdesk requests, oversee IT assets, and support IT projects and compliance activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support for end users, ensuring timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests.

  • Perform system administration and maintenance on Windows, Linux, and macOS systems.

  • Support and maintain IT hardware and infrastructure, including laptops, MacBooks, monitors, servers, network devices, Wi-Fi, door access systems, UPS, and meeting room equipment.

  • Support business applications and tools, including MS Office Suites, Jira, Confluence.

  • Handle IT asset management, including inventory tracking, issuance, recovery, and lifecycle updates.
  • Assist with the implementation of new systems, applications, and technologies in coordination with system/regional IT teams.

  • Conduct regular maintenance routines (e.g., backups, antivirus updates, OS patching) to ensure smooth operation and security compliance.
  • Support ISMS and IT compliance activities, such as data wiping, endpoint protection, and access control.

  • Maintain and update technical documentation and records to reflect changes in systems or infrastructure.

  • Provide professional customer service to users and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services and support processes.

  • Ensure adherence to company IT policies, procedures, and service standards.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk or system administration roles.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, macOS and preferably some exposure to Linux systems
  • Familiar with MS Office Suites, networking concepts, and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Jira).
  • Good understanding of laptop/MacBook hardware and ability to perform basic troubleshooting and setup.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, user-friendly support to end users.
  • Ability to work responsibly, follow IT procedures, and support multiple users in a dynamic environment.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Exposure to or understanding of ITIL, ISO 27001, or other IT service management and security best practices is an advantage.
