About BOT Model

Our BOT model provides a long-term solution for successfully delivering your product roadmap without outsourcing your software development. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your key responsibilities will be to direct a team of dedicated engineers of varied experience levels.

• Design and implement solutions to storage and database problems -- with consideration to high performance and scalability, high quality systems and applications using modern industry best practices that are reusable by different squads.
• Align with our Design, Engineering and Product principles to build product & technical solutions that drive customer value with quality and performance.
• Be the synthesis between Product and Engineering, clarifying requirements and owning the development lifecycle of data models, from development, testing to data validation.
• Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
• Engage in technical discussion of solutions and product ideas through documentation, design reviews, pair programming, code review and technology discussions.
• Mentor and guide more junior engineers in an impactful and meaningful way to their growth trajectory.

• You are a skilful engineer with high standards and a passion for quality backed by 3+ years of related work experience. Experience with databases, data warehousing and storage solutions is highly regarded, including a strong understanding of data lifecycle management and best practices for data deletion and database administration.
• You are a problem solver who is knowledgeable on data best practices and are able to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, balancing the right tradeoffs in a pragmatic way.
• Implementing modern customer data solutions focusing on scalable, reliable replication of live databases. Involves ELT, data modelling, data mesh, governance, and cataloguing.

• Experience with data-warehousing and the development lifecycle of data products is a must. DBT and Redshift experience preferred.
• Operational experience of large multi tenant storage deployments, persistent storage and caching mechanisms (we use AWS MySQL Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Opensearch, Redis, Redshift, etc)
• Experience in designing data platforms in compliance with data governance and legal requirements, such as managing data cataloguing platforms and implementing data lifecycle policies
• Building scalable, distributed service-oriented architectures and microservices using modern technologies like Docker, ECS, EKS, Kafka, Terraform for Infrastructure and code using Golang, PHP, Javascript, Typescript and of course, SQL.
