Qualifications

  • Experience in AWS particularly with ROSA, Networking, Storage, IAM, Security etc.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD automation tools e.g. Jenkins, CodeFresh
  • Strong Knowledge of IAC - Terraform, Helm. Scripting knowledge like Bash, Python would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in OpenShift and Kubernetes, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting
  • Strong Analytical and design skills with prior migration expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with designing and updating infrastructure architecture for platforms with complex layers of integration with other services and systems
  • Demonstrated experience in rapidly picking up new technologies and troubleshooting issues
  • Demonstrated ability to triage application, integration and infrastructure issues
  • Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for compute and data storage.
  • Experience with distributed source control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket)
  • Strong experience of Linux and Windows Operating systems
  • Good shell scripting and SQL experience
  • Strong application server knowledge, preferably with Apache or Tomcat
  • Understanding of networking concepts
  • Understanding or monitoring and logging approaches.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g.Python, Java, Go)

Responsibilities

  • Support the migration of Applications from On-Prem platform to Cloud hosted solutions.
  • Build process and templates to accelerate Openshift (Onprem) to Rosa(AWS) migration.
  • Design solutions that can meet current and future business/customer needs
  • Pro-actively identify solutions that best support the cost effective maintenance and growth of the platforms in our TA into the future.
  • Work collaboratively with the business and technology partners to Ensure infra build designs are of high quality and meet business and customer expectations
  • Provide technical input into strategic plans for technology products and services to improve the capability, quality and performance of systems
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve stability and robust performance of Tech Area platforms
  • Work with partners in all areas within the bank to achieve delivery timelines
  • Ensure security, quality and users experience are at the core of what we deliver
  • Participation in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, story estimation, retrospectives, etc)
  • Take part in troubleshooting for service recovery
  • Provide ongoing platform support as required
  • Enable continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed
  • Work in collaborative teams to build innovative solutions
  • Implements a culture within the Tribe and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation
